Christie Roueche
Principal Planner/DESIGNER
Christie initially attended the University of New Orleans as a Theatre & Film major. If you ask her, she will tell you she wanted to be Julia Roberts when she grew up. It wasn’t until 2014 that she realized her passion for the production of weddings and events, and her company Mise En Place Events was born!
In the last 10 years Christie has cultivated her career in the event industry, making a name for her team as one of the top planning companies in the New Orleans area. In 2020, through the Covid crisis, Mise En Place Events was rebranded as Southern Approach, offering planning & management services for events throughout the entire Gulf Coast Region, and beyond!
When she’s not creating beautiful events - Christie loves to spend time with her husband Aaron and their three kids – Tristan, Leah, and Noah. She is a self-proclaimed crazy dog lady and has two rescue dogs – Donnie and Juno (the most spoiled mutts EVER!). You can usually find her drinking coffee, Listening to Taylor Swift, and watching reruns of Friends or Grey’s Anatomy, while working on her next home renovation project!!
